Sharing Information, Including Overseas
Equitable Oncology does not sell personal information.
We use trusted service providers to help run our website, process donations, manage our supporter relationships, and communicate with you. Some of these providers are based overseas, including in the United States — for example, our payment and donation platform, our customer relationship management (CRM) system, and our website hosting and analytics providers.
New Zealand privacy law places specific requirements on sending personal information overseas. Before doing so, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information will be protected to a standard comparable to New Zealand law — including by requiring our overseas providers to agree to contractual data protection terms covering how they handle, secure, and use your information, and by limiting what we share with each provider to what is necessary for the service they provide.
Some countries, including the United States, may not have privacy laws directly equivalent to New Zealand's. Where we rely on your consent for a specific overseas disclosure, we will tell you this clearly at the time.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
